 Arachnophobia is a 1990 American horror comedy film directed by Frank Marshall with a screenplay by Don Jakoby and Wesley Strick from a story by Don Jakoby and Al Williams. The film stars Jeff Daniels as Dr. Ross Jennings, Julian Sands as Dr. James Atherton, Harley Jane Kozak as Molly Jennings, and John Goodman as Delbert McClintock. The film is set in the small town of Canaima, California as a newly discovered and deadly species of spider arrives to terrorize the town. The film has spawned a novel adaptation, a graphic novel adaptation, a video game adaptation, and an upcoming second film entry, set to be written and directed by Christopher Landon and produced by James Wan and Michael Clear. |
