While PBS is largely funded by "viewers like you," the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is authorized by Congress to provide federal funds for PBS and its local stations. Without this federal funding, the production of new educational children's content may be halted, and some local stations may face closure. Although the ARTHUR TV series ended in 2022, there are still periodic releases of new ARTHUR shorts, podcasts, and online games to this day, and this elimination of funding could hinder the development of further ARTHUR content. If you value PBS and its impact on your community, make your voice heard and take a stand for public media! Donate to your local PBS station at pbs.org/donate. Visit ProtectMyPublicMedia.org to add your name to the petition. There are also resources to help you contact your local representatives and urge them to reject the budget cuts to PBS. See Marc Brown's comments on the situation in his op ed (USA Today link) and interview with NBC News Now (YouTube link).
