Princess Comet (コメットさん, Kometto-san), sometimes also referred to as "Cosmic Baton Girl Comet" in English, is a mahō shōjo anime that aired from 2001 to 2002 on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka. It was animated by Nippon Animation, and directed by Mamoru Kanabe (Cardcaptor Sakura), with character design by Kazuaki Makida (Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch).
The anime is a loose adaptation based on the 1967 "Comet-san" manga by Sally the Witch creator, Mitsuteru Yokoyama, which also spurred live action TV drama that aired for two seasons between 1967 and 1979.
