Data East was a Japanese video game developer and publisher originally founded in 1976. The company was a well known developer of Arcade games, having made games for many different genres across various platforms as well as various pinball tables. The company was dissolved in 2003 due to financial troubles, with most of their intellectual properties being acquired by G-Mode.
