Disney Infinity is a video game set across various Disney properties. It is the first game where players can place real-world interactive objects (Characters, Power Discs, and Play Sets), on a device called the "Disney Infinity Base," activating original, story-driven adventure worlds as well as homegrown sandbox worlds. In 2014, a second edition was released which introduced more characters and items to the game, including the Marvel Universe. The third edition was released in Fall 2015 and introduced elements of the Star Wars Universe. In May 2016, it was announced that any further production on the series was cancelled, leaving much of the third edition's planned content as well as an upcoming fourth edition unreleased.
