Technology & Combat Characteristics
The MS-14A Gelgoog was produced as a mass-produced unit capable of handling beam weapons. On the other hand, the MS-14L Gelgoog L (Lanzierer) was created with the approach of using its thrust and maneuverability to intercept attackers with a large spear that does not cause damage over a wide area. For escorting VIPs, the MS-14A is equipped with a simple backpack that enhances thrust, and the heat lance also has a built-in sub-thruster to increase its power when charging at melee combat distance. In addition, a large shield was equipped to ensure durability during the lance charge (assault tactics with the lance held up). The biased design concept of equipping only a heat lance and a large shield would continue to remain with future Royal Guard units.

History
They are said to have been deployed to A Baoa Qu, but it is also said that student cadets, instead of veteran soldiers, were assigned to pilot them because there was no opportunity to give them different models.

Notes and Trivia
- "Lanzierer" is the German word for "lancer", although it was rarely used in contemporaneous sources in favor of more specialized classifications.
