15-year-old country girl Suzume Yosano has to move to Tokyo to live with her uncle due to her father's transfer. She bumps into a mysterious man who ends up taking her to her uncle's place after she gets lost. Turns out, Suzume will be seeing him a lot more often once she starts school because...he's actually her homeroom teacher?!

Hirunaka no Ryuusei's Film Adaptation is a live action version of the story. It was directed by Takehiko Shinjo and stars Mei Nagano as Suzume Yosano, Shohei Miura as Satsuki Shishio, and Alan Shirahama as Daiki Mamura. The film debuted in theaters on March 24th, 2017. It was subsequently released on DVD and Blu-Ray for home viewing. Additional behind-the-scenes content and exclusive interviews can be found in Kira Kira★Cross talk, a special DVD that was released alongside the eighth volume of Margaret 2017 to help promote the film to readers.
