The story of Hunter × Hunter focuses on a young boy named Gon Freecss, who one day discovers that the father he has always been told was dead is alive and well. He learns that his father, Ging Freecss, is a legendary Hunter. Despite the fact that his father abandoned Gon with his relatives in order to pursue his dreams, Gon becomes determined to follow his father's footsteps, pass the Hunter Exam, and eventually find his father to prove himself as a Hunter in his own right.

| The Poor Man's Rose, also known as the Miniature Rose, is a type of low-budget and small weapon of mass destruction that has frightening destructive capabilities. It can be mass-produced in short amounts of time, thus it is favored by small dictatorships.
Up until Chairman Netero's battle with the Chimera Ant King, the Poor Man's Rose had bloomed in more than 250 countries with a total yield 10 times as large as that of the bomb Netero was carrying in his chest, taking away the lives of 5,120,000 people. |

| Looking inside the laundry room, Hinrigh says that while it looks abandoned, he has a feeling people were there just a moment ago. Nobunaga adds that it was the same with the hidden room and then realizes something, leaving Hinrigh confused. Nobunaga explains that if the Heil-Ly were expecting intruders to break through the walls, he should have assumed that their neighbors were working with them. He adds that they used them to check for traps but blames himself for letting the Heil-Ly know that intruders were after them. |

| Gon climbs to the top of the World Tree where Ging is expecting him, and the two finally have a heart to heart talk. In this occasion, Ging reveals his intentions to explore the world beyond the current boundaries known to mankind and Gon tells him of all his adventures, while his friends keep following their separate ways, each one of them with their own dreams and goals to pursue. During their talk, Gon remembers to give the double star hunter license Kite gave him back to Ging. The last episode, Episode 148, is up. |
