About LEGO Friends
LEGO Friends is a product range ("theme") of the LEGO construction toy. Introduced in 2012, the theme includes unique "mini-doll" figures, which are about the same size as the traditional minifigures but are more detailed and realistic. The sets usually have bright or pastel color schemes, and depict scenes from suburban life set in the fictional town of Heartlake City. The main characters of the theme are Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia, and Stephanie. Click on a picture below to meet them!
In addition to the sets, LEGO has also produced multiple animated series and webisodes. Unlike most LEGO media, LEGO Friends media typically uses a more "realistic" setting with human characters rather than animated minifigures or minidolls. The original Friends TV series started in 2012 alongside the first sets.
In 2018, the theme was rebooted with new character designs, and a new animated series, LEGO Friends: Girls on a Mission.
