Evil Natural Water

Evil Natural Water (エビル天てん然ねん水すい, Ebiru Tennensui; Viz: Evil Mineral Water) is a Dragon-level Mysterious Being and an executive member of the Monster Association accidentally created from Gyoro Gyoro's experiments.

After merging with the ocean, it became known as Evil Ocean Water (エビル海かい洋よう水すい, Ebiru Kaiyōsui) until it was defeated by a Serious Punch from Saitama.

It was ultimately digested and killed by Pig God.

Appearance

Evil Natural Water is a huge mass of water with a pair of eyes floating inside. It can freely change its shape, meaning it has no true state of being. Its eyes grow as it gains more water.

After absorbing the oil of Sludge Jellyfish, it becomes more viscous, able to take on a more globular shape. Then after absorbing massive water from the ocean, it's size dwarves even the tallest of buildings with it's eyes being bigger than a carrier.

Personality

Evil Natural Water is said to be the most dangerous member of the Monster Association. It is a mindless monster that is difficult to control; Psykos confined it within a vault to manage its behavior. This creature senses any hostility directed at it and relentlessly attacks the aggressor. Despite its seemingly mindless disposition, it possesses some degree of thought, as evidenced by its ability to absorb the oil from Sludge Jellyfish to counteract Child Emperor's freezing attacks.

History

Evil Natural Water was accidentally created during Psykos' experiments. Unable to find a method to control it, it was sealed within the vault of the Monster Association.

Plot

Human Monster Saga

Monster Association Arc

Evil Natural Water is one of the executives shown when Sludge Jellyfish talks about the Monster Association executives.

Sometime during the raid on the Monster Association, Atomic Samurai's disciples and Narinki's Private Squad are held up by a large group of monsters. They proceed to slaughter all of them, but one manages to escape. It is pursued into a large room containing several vaults; and it opens one of them out of desperation. Evil Natural Water comes flowing out of a tank, killing the monster and proceeds to fight the heroes and mercenary. During the battle, Tongara is severely injured by Evil Natural Water but the four briefly manage to escape thanks to Bushidrill destroying the ceiling to the vault, causing it to collapse. The executive monster begins to burst through the cave-in and Tongara, knowing that he can not continue, asks that the three heroes escape while they can. They run off, and Evil Natural Water washes over the mercenary while the Mad Doctor Fish rip him apart.

Later, Child Emperor finds the three disciples lying defeated. Iaian warns Child Emperor that Evil Natural Water is still nearby. The monster fires a sharp burst of water, and Child Emperor narrowly dodges the attack. Child Emperor quickly turns the tables by flash freezing Evil Natural Water using his Block Snowman robot, making the monster unable to shoot its water jets.^[1]

Sludge Jellyfish then enters the room, offering to assist Evil Natural Water. Evil Natural Water reaches a water arm at the monster and sucks up the oil in his body, rendering Child Emperor's freezing attacks ineffective. It shoots a jet of water at the hero that pierces his leg and breaks apart his robot.^[2]

Evil Natural Water is later seen engulfing Child Emperor, who frantically resists drowning.^[3] Child Emperor is rescued by Tatsumaki's barrier, and Evil Natural Water is buried in the rubble as Tatsumaki uproots the base. It later reemerges, unscathed, to battle Iaian and Atomic Samurai above ground.^[4] Just as Evil Natural Water is about to kill Iaian after breaking his sword, Superalloy Darkshine arrives, narrowly saving him by shielding him from the monster's deadly water jets. Evil Natural Water then bombards Darkshine with its water jets, only for the S-Class hero to be unscathed. Darkshine retaliates with a single punch which splatters Evil Natural Water, expressing his gratitude to the liquid creature for the refreshing shower.

To Iaian's shock, Evil Natural Water later appears again, unharmed. King soon arrives, and Evil Natural Water, alongside Black Sperm, Golden Sperm, and Homeless Emperor, confronts the renowned hero. Despite being face-to-face with King, Evil Natural Water refrains from attacking, as it senses no killing intent from him, much to Black Sperm's disbelief.

During this encounter, Garou arrives, and sensing his hostile aura, Evil Natural Water attacks the Hero Hunter with two water jets. However, Garou deflects the attacks and completely disperses the monster. Evil Natural Water eventually merges with the ocean, growing stronger as it seeps into the sea. Its colossal eyes emerge from the water, capsizing an aircraft carrier.^[5]

Soon, another monster, Sage Centipede, appears, dubbing Evil Natural Water "The Incarnation of Mother Sea" and Evil Natural Water becomes Evil Ocean Water. As Evil Ocean Water manifests on land, dwarfing everything around it, it follows Sage Centipede's lead and attacks Garou alongside the centipede creature. Moments later, Saitama races toward Evil Natural Water, skimming across the ocean's surface. With a Serious Punch, Saitama splits the ocean in half, dissipating Evil Natural Water and sending large amounts of water splashing across the vicinity.

Psychic Sisters Arc

Evil Natural Water is later revealed to still be alive; while Pig God searches for potential survivors from the Monster Association, Evil Natural Water reappears in a smaller, weakened form. It quickly knocks out Air by shooting a water jet through his throat after being attacked by the A-Class hero. Pig God attempts to consume the creature, but it retaliates with jets of water in an effort to escape, causing Pig God to bleed from multiple wounds. Ultimately, Evil Natural Water is digested by him, marking its permanent demise.

Abilities and Powers

As a high-ranking member and Dragon-level threat of the Monster Association, Evil Natural Water is an extremely powerful being. Gyoro Gyoro fears it enough to keep it secluded in a vault, and once freed, it demonstrated the ability to effortlessly defeat three top A-Class heroes: Iaian, Bushidrill, and Okamaitachi. After merging with the ocean, Evil Natural Water significantly increased in power and size, becoming one of the largest monsters in the series.^[6]

Physical Abilities

Liquid Body: Composed entirely of water, Evil Natural Water lacks vulnerable internal organs or weak points, making it difficult to destroy. Its liquid form allowed it to survive a Serious Punch from Saitama, although the immense force scattered its body entirely, even after it had merged with the ocean and grown tremendously in size.^[7] Being liquid also renders it immune to chemical attacks.^[8] However, it requires time to reassemble after being dispersed into droplets by powerful attacks. While in a reduced form resembling a small puddle, Evil Natural Water ultimately met its end when it was consumed by Pig God, whose strong stomach acids dissolved it completely.^[9]

• Shapeshifting: Due to its watery composition, Evil Natural Water has excellent control over its form. It can manifest as a simple blob or transform into a massive monstrous canine shape, imitating body parts like jaws^[10] and shaping its body into a large blade.^[11] Despite this adaptability, Tatsumaki's psychokinesis and Saitama's powerful punches were able to scatter it into droplets, yet it survived both encounters.

• Symbiosis: Evil Natural Water can cooperate with other aquatic monsters in a symbiotic manner. Its watery form can encapsulate several Mad Doctor Fish, which it can launch as secondary attacks. Iaian noted that these fish were not particularly challenging to deal with.

• Absorption: Evil Natural Water can absorb any liquid it comes into contact with, increasing both its mass and the destructive power of its water jets while allowing it to alter its composition. For instance, it absorbed oil from Sludge Jellyfish to counter Child Emperor's freezing attack.^[12] Remarkably, it can merge with the ocean itself, growing exceptionally large.^[13] It appears capable of absorbing moisture from the air, as noted by Black Sperm regarding the dry air following Evil Natural Water's reappearance against Garou.^[14]

• High-Speed Jet Streams: Evil Natural Water can unleash devastating high-speed jets of water instantaneously. These jets are faster than bullets, presenting challenges even for Iaian, Bushidrill, and Okamaitachi, who possess superhuman speed and reflexes. The jets have remarkable penetrating power, easily puncturing Iaian's katana, penetrating Tongara's durable armor, and injuring Child Emperor. Iaian observed that the more water Evil Natural Water absorbs, the more powerful its jets become.^[15] Despite this, even multiple jet streams failed to harm Darkshine, who likened the attacks to a pleasant shower.^[16] Even when reduced to the size of a small puddle, its jets were strong enough to pierce the throat of Air, an A-Class hero, incapacitating him.^[17] In the original webcomic, Evil Natural Water was capable of severing Sweet Mask's arm and cutting a hole through his chest. The speed and strength of these jet streams can overpower even formidable opponents like Atomic Samurai and Pig God.

Enhanced Reflexes: Evil Natural Water can react and attack its foes within fractions of a second. It sensed Garou's hostility and immediately fired its jet streams at him in just 0.1 seconds.^[18]

Advanced Perception: Evil Natural Water can detect hostility directed at it,^[19] responding with continuous attacks. Upon being released by Master Joe, it immediately pursued and attacked the Narinki's Private Squad and Atomic Samurai's disciples, as they presumably exhibited negative feelings towards it.

Hyper Instincts: Despite appearing as a simple-minded, formless entity, Evil Natural Water possesses an underlying intuition that allows it to adapt and modify its approach to targets. For example, it absorbed fuel oil from Sludge Jellyfish to avoid freezing.^[12]

Freezing Resistance: After absorbing oil from Sludge Jellyfish, Evil Natural Water's body has a significantly lower freezing point than water, enabling it to resist being easily frozen.^[12]

Fighting Style

Water Absorption: The more water Evil Natural Water absorbs, the larger and stronger it becomes. By taking in vast amounts of water from the ocean, it can transform into Evil Ocean Water and grow exponentially.

• Ocean Grand Cannon (海大砲, Umi Taihō; Viz: Sea Cannon): After merging with the ocean and increasing its size immensely, Evil Natural Water can fire destructive water cannons more powerful than ever. These cannons can devastate the surrounding landscape, with a single shot severely injuring Garou while the Hero Hunter was in his monsterized state.^[20]

• The characteristic of Evil Natural Water's eyes growing after having absorbed water may be a reference to the eyeball being 98% made of water.
• The Evil in Evil Natural Water's name may be a pun on the Évian mineral water brand.
• Evil Natural Water/Evil Ocean Water is the fourth monster to survive one of Saitama's punches (after Boros, Overgrown Rover and Orochi).
  • Evil Natural Water is also the second monster to survive a Serious Punch from Saitama (before Garou), albeit being shrunk down to the size of a small puddle as a result.
