| Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, abbreviated as Oreimo, is a light novel series written by Tsukasa Fushimi and illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki. The series follows the life of a high school boy named Kyousuke Kousaka who has troubles getting along with his younger sister Kirino. One day, Kyousuke discovers that Kirino is an otaku in secret, and this forces Kirino to confront Kyousuke under the nuance of 'life counseling'.
The series is composed of seventeen volumes, with twelve main volumes and five if volumes. It also has been adapted into an anime series with two seasons, several manga and game adaptations. | Ruri Gokou, also known as Kuroneko, is an otaku who is a member of the Otaku Girls Unite! online community and an avid fan of the Maschera: Lament of a Fallen Beast series. She is known for her gothic lolita attire and her sharp tongue. She and Kirino Kousaka met each other during one of the group's offline meetings, and they eventually became friends, although the journey is not as smooth as it sounds.
She later becomes the classmate of Kyousuke Kousaka, Kirino's older brother, and became close to him during Kirino's training in America. |

| The dream sequence at the beginning of the first episode is based on the short story "There's No Way My Black Haired Little Sister is This Cute" where the cold war between Kirino and Kyousuke never happened. In this story, the siblings never grew apart and Kirino has a good relationship with Kyousuke, as well with Manami, and her passion fore imouto eroge is in a much earlier stage. |
