The latest game in the Serious Sam series, developed by Croteam and published by Devolver Digital. The game was released on September 24, 2020 for Microsoft Windows and Google Stadia. An Xbox One and Playstation 4 version is currently in development and is set to be released sometime in 2021.
The game is a prequel to Serious Sam 3: BFE and set during the early days of the Mental War, after a massive portal suddenly opens up in Tunguska, Russia. Now, Sam "Serious" Stone and his friends must join up with the rest of the Earth Defense Force and stop Mental's forces from getting through before it's too late.
