About Sokoban

Sokoban (倉庫番, Warehouse Keeper) is a series of block-sliding puzzle games where the player controls a warehouse worker and is tasked to clear all given puzzles by moving all boxes in the room into their designated places. The series was created by Hiroyuki Imabayashi, with the first title released in 1982 for Japanese computers.

Rules of Sokoban

The objective in the Sokoban mazes is to push all boxes into the designated tiles. There are three basic rules:

  1. The player can move a box by pushing it.
    Rule1
  2. The player cannot push two boxes at once.
    Rule2
  3. The player cannot pull boxes.
    Rule3

Though the rules are very simple, Sokoban puzzles have a lot of depth, requiring the player to study the puzzle layout and plan ahead every move.
