What is the AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES series?

The AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES series is a mystery-adventure puzzle game/visual novel hybrid franchise developed by Spike Chunsoft and created by Kotaro Uchikoshi, most known for his work on the Zero Escapeseries. The first entry, simply titled AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES, released 2019, while its sequel, AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES - nirvanA Initiative, is planned to release in 2022. The franchise also includes a series of YouTube videos and tweets by the virtual idol A-set, a vlogger and internet personality featured in the first game.

Why the different Ages between Games and ARG?

While the canonical year for AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES and AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES - nirvanA Initiative are currently unconfirmed, it has been calculated that the games take place from 2029 to 2036. So "Games" lists what the character's age was/would be on 2024, our current year.
On the other hand, the AI series ARGs (Lemniscate YouTube series and Hidden Bats) take place in real time (2019 and 2022 respectively), so the character ages are measured based on their real time ages within the ARG.
The ages here are also listed as if any dead characters are still alive, as fun What-Ifs as well as to avoid spoilers.
