"Eyes on the Prize" is a comic strip published in the sixth issue of the Star Wars Rebels Magazine. The story was written by Jeremy Barlow, illustrated by Bob Molesworth, and edited by Gunther Nickel. It was published on June 17, 2015.[1]
Barlow imagined the story taking place in between the Star Wars Rebels episodes "Gathering Forces" and "Path of the Jedi."[4] However, this information is not officially established as canon.
Plot summary
Sometime between 5 BBY and 4 BBY, two bounty hunters, Fissol and Gowski, travel to Lothal after hearing from a Duros bounty hunter of the presence of a Jedi on the planet. On Lothal, they encounter Ezra Bridger in the caves practicing his Jedi training. After a short chase, they overcome Bridger and kidnap him. Later, Kanan Jarrus is curious as to Bridger's whereabouts, and Hera Syndulla tells him that he is completing an errand for him. Jarrus, having sent his Padawan on no such errand, realizes Bridger is in trouble and goes after him. The bounty hunters knock out Bridger and gag him, remarking that they expect a handsome reward from the Empire for the Jedi's capture. Jarrus reveals his presence and rescues Bridger. Once Bridger comments that the bounty hunters now know of the Jedi presence on Lothal, Jarrus tricks them into thinking there are no Jedi, sending the hunters away.
