Jhantoria

Jhantoria was a celestial body[3] located in the Jhantoria system.[1] It was a part of the Allied Tion sector of the Tion Cluster,[3] situated within the Trans-Hydian portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] Jhantoria was the origin point of Jhantorian wine.[4][5] By 25,130 BBY, the astronomical object was situated within the borders of the confederation of worlds known as the Livien League. At some point around that year, the forces of King Xim of the Kingdom of Cron defeated those of the Livien League at Jhantoria.[3]

Behind the scenes

Jhantoria was introduced in[3] the December 7, 2009 StarWars.com Hyperspace[6] article "Xim Week: The History of Xim and the Tion Cluster" by Jason Fry.[3] The August 18, 2009[7] reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Jhantoria system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square S-6.[1]

The Essential Atlas and Galactic Cartography: Official Discussion (post by jasonfry) on the Jedi Council Forums' Literature board (December 11, 2007): "I wouldn't get your hopes up re alien homeworlds, beyond simple stuff like the Planetnamian species getting a Planetnamia on the map or things Dan and I can account for with a relatively quick reference." (backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Jhantorian wine in relation to the Jhantoria system and specifically Jhantoria.
