This article covers a subject from a Star Wars: Visions story that Lucasfilm declared is set in an alternate history within a reimagined galaxy.

A sabersmith was an individual who built lightsabers as their occupation. After lightsabers had become rare throughout the galaxy, Lah Zhima of Hy Izlan was known to be a sabersmith. He was able to manipulate kyber crystals within lightsabers to produce various lengths and colors, depending on the user's connection to the Force.^[1]
