Star Wars Year by Year: A Visual Chronicle expand on the original 2010[2] edition with the addition of 8 new pages added to the "Clone Wars & Beyond" section of the book, written by Pablo Hidalgo. Originally four pages long, the 2010 chapter was remade to include two more. In the process, several segments were removed from the new edition, including the Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound Academy Award nominations for Star Trek, Avatar and Up , the release of Joe Johnston's The Wolfman, the release of a new image of Mimas (nicknamed the "Death Star" moon) by space probe Cassini, the end of The Clone Wars: Season Two centered around Boba Fett, the Jedi-Con organized by the Official German Star Wars Fan Club, the release of Iron Man 2, the Norman Rockwell exposition at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the release of Star Wars Art: Visions, the start of The Clone Wars: Season Three and the release of The Sounds of Star Wars. Furthermore, the segments about Star Wars: Frames and the Star Tours update to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue was moved to the 2011 chapter. Two new chapters for 2011 and 2012 were also added, respectively adding four and two pages each.[3][4]
