This month's Featured Article is for the Ekaterina II S, a transforming machine developed in Academy City by Kongou Airlines's second factory.

Sharing a name with Kongou Mitsuko's pet python, the Ekaterina II S is a general-purpose machine, with a vehicle form used for transportation and a humanoid form for work. It is equipped with rollers on its 'feet' for mobility, clamps for grabbing objects, and is armed with a pile bunker on its arm. It is also capable of jettisoning its 'limbs'.

Per Kongou Mitsuko's request to her father, the Ekaterina II S was brought to battle against STUDY's mobile weapons during the rebellion known as the Silent Party, piloted by Saten Ruiko and Uiharu Kazari, who had spent the night before studying the machine's manual.
