“On the seventh of the sevenfolded night, upon the six seeds finally blooming, humanity will become the representatives of God. That, will be as complete as a perfect sphere. Firstly, the authorities will be overthrown, as they embrace the foreigner. Secondly, the yoke of control will be removed as the purifying song fills the capital. Before long, a rain of stars will pour from the skies announcing the creation of heaven and earth. Finally, the child will come, reigning over the heavenly throne—look at him, for there is a Machine Doll by his side.”
Early 20th century, mankind was able to establish advanced magic into a system; Machinart. The combination of magic and science which involves running a magic circuit through an automaton and having a puppeteer control it. However, in this era, the technique is being exploited for military use as major world powers are at a frenzied state to outdo each other. As a World War looms, Raishin Akabane, a puppeteer from Japan, together with Yaya, his automaton, arrived in Machine City Liverpool in United Kingdom and entered the Walpurgis Royal Academy of Machinart to join the Night Party, a series of battles wherein Machinart clash until there is only one left standing and become the Wiseman, mainly, to spy on the latest Machinart developed by major world powers for the Japanese Army, though in actuality, to exact revenge on his brother Tenzen Akabane whom he assumes of having killed their clan and he assumes of being Magnus.

Yaya is an Automaton; one of the Setsugetsuka series, who houses the Kongouriki magic circuit which specialises in the precise control of a body's monads to enhance its overall physical ability and has been lent to Raishin by Shouko to set his blood; his lineage's blood, sucked into slowly transfiguring Yaya into a Machine Doll!! She is a sprightly person who is ardently in love with Raishin and as such, is extremely devoted to him to the extent of being overtly obsessed with him whilst with the aim of taking him onto the futon or bed regardless! She is skilled at making tea and her favourite food is Anmitsu~ “Even if Raishin won’t look at Yaya anymore, Yaya will still aid him.”
Raishin is a mage and puppeteer; borrowing Yaya as his Automaton from Shouko in exchange for himself; his lineage's blood, as material to create a Machine Doll— who has just been enrolled into the Walpurgis Academy to enter the Walpurgis Night; subsequently entering as rank 100th, whilst with the aim to kill Magnus whom he believes to be the mastermind behind his clan's massacre. He is only a beginner at magic and puppetry and as such, copes and covers for his weakness by employing martial arts in conjunction with them and strategically using Fuurinkanzan which is a command system inherited from his clan to conveniently manipulate his puppet due to him having been a nonchalant and rebellious person since. “It’s because I am a weak human. The regret I feel might be the reason for my hatred. Killing Magnus won’t bring Nadeshiko back to life. Revenge is just something I know is for my own self-satisfaction. Even so… that’s all I can do for Nadeshiko.”
Charlotte is a noble, mage, and puppeteer; her Automaton being Sigmund, who has enrolled into the Walpurgis Academy on a student loan to enter the Walpurgis Night; entering as rank 6th, whilst with the aim to revive her fallen noble House and reunite with her scattered family members. She is an irritable but resolute person who is set on attaining her aim, regardless! She uses bra pads to make her bust appear larger~ “Once everything’s over, we can live together once again.”
Frey is one of the artificial Promised Children, a mage and puppeteer; her Automata mainly being Rabbi, Revina, Riviera, Robin and Ruby, who has been enrolled into the Walpurgis Academy to enter the Walpurgis Night; subsequently entering as rank 98th, whilst with the subsequent aim to restore her and Loki's heart that have been forcefully augmented to allow them to dangerously convert their blood into vast magic energy. “For both Loki and my heart… to return them back to normal.”
Loki is one of the artificial Promised Children, a mage and puppeteer; his Automaton being Cherubim, who was enrolled into the Walpurgis Academy, to enter the Walpurgis Night; subsequently entering as rank 99th, whilst with the subsequent aim to restore his and Frey's heart that have been forcefully augmented to allow them to dangerously convert their blood into vast magic energy. “… If I may… say so myself… I am a tolerant person. However, there are three things in this world I cannot forgive. People who give me orders. People who defy me. And finally, Scum who betray their elder sister.”
Kimberly is a mage; being a member of the Mage's Association, who has been working at the Walpurgis Academy as a professor of Machine Physics; whilst with being the head of the Academy's Machine Physics Department, and the homeroom professor of Raishin and Charlotte's class. “… Now then… Who’s going to be the one who takes the first bite out of the fruit that Eve plucked?”
Shouko is a puppet craftsman; being the Eminent Puppet Craftsman of the Generation who created the Setsugetsuka series, and puppeteer; her Automaton mainly being Irori, who has been working for the Japanese Army and has lent Yaya to Raishin as his Automaton in exchange for his blood; his lineage's blood, as material to create a Machine Doll— “I need living Kuretsuba’s Blood, in order to fulfil my own desires.”
Irori is an Automaton; one of the Setsugetsuka series who is mainly used by Shouko, who houses the Himokagami magic circuit which specialises in the creation and manipulation of ice. “What if Raishin gets completely consumed by Yaya…”
Komurasaki is an Automaton; one of the Setsugetsuka series, who houses the Yaegasumi magic circuit which specialises in the xx. “Why am I the only one… that is useless in battle? If only… I had an amazing strength…!”
Is a character of the Unbreakable Machine-Doll series. This is a test for text. Thy madly-whistled laughter, echoing, rumbling like an earthquake. “The country that is able to create a complete Machine Doll will win the next world war, and will rule the world for the next millennia.”
Magnus is a mage, puppet craftsman and puppeteer; his Automata being Hotaru, Tamamushi, Kamakiri, Kagerou, Himegumo and Mitsubachi, who has been enrolled into the Walpurgis Academy to enter the Walpurgis Night; entering as rank 1st. He is being aimed at to be killed by Raishin as he is assumed by him of being the mastermind behind his clan's massacre. He is a stoic person. “Whether I am that person you speak of in your story or not is just a trifling matter. I walk my own path— even if it means dying by Raishin's hand.”
Hotaru is an Automaton; being one of Magnus's Automata, the Squadron, who might have been created from Nadeshiko's body. and uses daggers as her weapon. She is an aloof person. “For what purpose, and for what reason do we exist?”
Edward is a mage; being the Strongest Mage of the 19th Century, and puppeteer; his Automata being the Lemegeton which houses 72 in it. who has been working at the Walpurgis Academy as its Headmaster. “”

(August 30, 2015) MF Bunko J has announced today that its MF Bunko J Summer Con 2015 is currently popular in Japan and that it is holding a promotion wherein a person who buys three MF Bunko J books can win seventeen distinct sets of popular titles' special shelf plates and introduced the Unbreakable Machine-Doll series as one amongst them. The promotion's application requires one to mail the application ticket together with the books' paper wrapper with the MF Bunko J Summer Con 2015's logo in a postcard. It will last until September 30, 2015 whereafter fifty winners will be chosen by lottery and be presented with the prize.
(July 19, 2015) MF Bunko J has re-announced today that its MF Bunko J Summer School Festival today will be holding the screening of the MF Bunko J Anime today at the UDX Theatre at the 4th floor of UDX in Akihabara in Tokyo in Japan from 10:00 JST and has announced today that it will begin screening first the Unbreakable Machine-Doll series.

It has also announced today that the MF Bunko J Anime screening tomorrow will be held at the UDX Theatre at the 4th floor of UDX in Akihabara in Tokyo in Japan and will begin from 10:00 JST.
