- August 17, 2013: In the beginning a hopeful lad by the name of Lumoshi dreams of being the founder and admin of his very own wiki.
Having nothing better to do during his summer vacations, he notices a severe lack of wikis based on the seminal game Wii Sports Resort that aren't run by semi-illiterate ten-years-olds, so on that faithful late-summer evening (or maybe morning in his time-zone, I don't know) he heads on with the creation of the Wii Sports Resort Walkthrough Wiki.
Within minutes of the wiki's creation, our beloved founder announces the birth of his new baby on Fantendo's very own forums, home of heated intellectual discourse. An equally hopeful lad by the name of SamStation, who also had nothing better to do, immediately answers Lumoshi's call for action and the rest was history... - August 20, 2013: Lumoshi recruits a new collaborator for the wiki: a hopeful lass by the name of Simpson55, whose objective in life is to fill the wiki with the most obnoxious kind of spam.
Simpson55's artistic prowess earns her the role of creating seasonal themes for the wiki, something she will diligently do about two months too late, every time... - September 2013: after an initial burst of activity that lasted a whole two weeks, the wiki's first dark age commences: SamStation and Lumoshi slow down their output, and Simpson55 is presumed dead.
- November 2013: some guy named Majo that nobody invited joins the wiki out of the blue and makes a handful of edits. He doesn't really interact with any of the other collaborators and nobody likes him.
Simpson55 is still presumed dead and the admins create a Youtube channel that nobody watches. - December 2013: the wiki is still dead. Simpson55 is alive and well and returns just to change the wiki theme, that's it.
- January-March 2014: admins Lumoshi and SamStation discover a new incentive to keep the wiki alive: badges.
For the uninitiated: badges were a feature introduced by Fandom (formally Wikia) to motivate editors by giving them points. Turns out badges were more addictive than heroin and Twitter put together; all they did were to promote spam and unnecessary edits.
Indeed, during this period, our beloved admins lost their way and did exactly that: spam. Succumbing to addiction, every day they tried to up man each other like no tomorrow, trying to earn the most badges while ignoring the quality of the articles they wrote. - March-April 2014: these dates mark the wiki's first (and only) Rennaisance. In this incredible period, a forum is instated and the wiki reaches its peak number of concurrent active members: 5.
Admins decide to expand the scope of the wiki to include all games in the Wii series. Soon after, user Simpson55 comes up with the brilliant idea of renaming the wiki to Wiikipedia.
Turns out her idea wasn't very brilliant, as it made it nigh impossible for people to find the wiki through Google Search (because of a certain little website with a very similar name hogging all the results, bastards...). - June 2014-???: the wiki's consolidated dead-as-a-doornail state reaches entropy and for the next seven years and a half nothing will happen.
Lumoshi leaves his creation behind to pursue more fulfilling endeavors, SamStation, who to the very end continued editing all by himself, eventually gave up, and Simpson55 just kept on spamming throughout the whole thing like always.
Over the years, many propositions for Wiikipedia's glorious return were made, but none came to fruition. Finally, the wiki was officially declared dead in late August 2018, leaving behind three mournful admins. - August 17, 2023: the wiki celebrates its 10th year of existence. For the occasion the site's admins change the previous mournful and depressing black wiki theme to its original navy blue one. Aside from that, the wiki is still dead as roadkill.
