Profile
Seidel Rasso is the leader of the Space Revolutionary Army, making him the leader of the space colonies as well. When it is discovered by Nicola Fafas that there are actually NewTypes living on Earth but that some are actually born there, Seidel rejects the idea and declares that it is impossible for Tiffa Adil to be a Newtype.[1]
Tiffa soon proves her abilities, and warns Seidel and Nicola about the presence of a mine. The mine was placed by Satyricon, and he retaliates by sending an army to destroy their base with an arsenal of new and untested weapons. This includes the "Photon Particle Reaction Missile", which totally annihilates the colony.[3] Meanwhile, Tiffa's increased presence becomes a thorn in his side, especially after she confronts him about his beliefs regarding Newtypes and his new weapons. Nicola and Lancerow begin to fear for Tiffa's life, but Lancerow had already informed Seidel that the Gundam Double X was destroyed alongside Satelycon. Unaware that Lancerow was lying and that there was still a threat at large, Seidel resolves to fire the Colony Laser at the Earth and finish the 15 year war once and for all. He takes Tiffa with him, hoping to break her will, but Garrod appears in the Gundam and uses the Satellite System against the Colony Laser, threatening to destroy it unless he returns Tiffa. Seidel has no choice except to agree and returns her, though Garrod destroys the Colony Laser anyway.[4]
During meetings to decide what course of action should be taken regarding the New United Nations Earth, Seidel is firmly opposed to peace talks.[5] When Nicola insists that he pursue peace and reconsider Newtypism, Seidel has him arrested for anti-government ideologue[6] and executed.[7]
During the 8th Space War, Seidel commanded the SRA flagship, Garbera, in an effort to reach D.O.M.E. before the New United Nations Earth leader Fixx Bloodman. Calling for a ceasefire, he is escorted by bit mobile suits, where he meets with Fixx Bloodman and others to learn the truth of Newtypes from D.O.M.E. itself.[2] Leaving the lunar base, he is killed when his ship is attacked and destroyed by Shagia and Olba Frost with their Satellite Launcher.[8]
