Bantha butter was a sweet, creamy butter. It was green in coloration[2] and smooth[3] and thick in texture. The butter could turn rancid[1] and be sliced through easily.[4]

The restaurant Dex's Diner on the planet Coruscant included bantha butter in several menu items that were served[5] prior to the diner's destruction in 19 or 18 BBY.[6]
