"Hoth and Other Planets in the Outer Rim" is a volume in the Star Wars Encyclopedia series of reference books published by De Agostini. It was published on January 12, 2022.[2]
Publisher's summary
The Outer Rim was home to all kinds of planets, with the most varied climatic conditions. Some of them were not very habitable environments for intelligent species, but they would go down in galactic history in a quite unexpected way. That was the case of Hoth, a remote icy world that the Rebel Alliance chose as a new base after escaping from Yavin, and which was the scene of momentous events in the Galactic Civil War. Other worlds in this remote area were more habitable, such as Lothal, which was exploited with impunity by the Empire for its abundant resources before a resistance movement arose there that would cause many problems for the tyrannical authorities before joining the Rebellion. But there were also other much more terrible places in the Outer Rim: the prison-city of Lola Sayu or the Akkadese Maelstrom, located in the vicinity of Kessel, were just two examples.[3]
