Jatz was a genre of music popular in the Galactic Republic. By the time of the Clone Wars, however, jatz was considered "turgid" and outdated compared to the more modern genre of leap-jump. Jatz experienced a revival under the Galactic Empire, however, largely owing to the efforts of Fitz Roi. Jizz was a similarly named music genre.
