Lizard crabs were a species of brightly colored creatures native to the swamps of the moon Yavin 4. They were eaten by armored eels and anglers, the later of which grabbed lizard crabs while perched on buttress roots and then absorbed them.[1]
Behind the scenes
Lizard crabs first appeared in the Star Wars Legends novel Young Jedi Knights: Heirs of the Force, which was written by Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta and released in 1995. They were confirmed to be canon by the reference book Ultimate Star Wars, which was released in 2015.
