The P-s5.6 twin ion engine was a model of twin ion engine manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems during the height of the Galactic Civil War. Lord Darth Vader's TIE Advanced x1 incorporated paired P-s5.6 twin ion engines linked to an I-s3a solar ionization reactor to give the starfighter a more powerful drive system than the TIE/LN starfighter.[1] The P-s5.6 model was also fitted aboard the Empire's TIE/IN interceptors, making them among the fastest starfighters in the galaxy. These engines were rated at 175 KTU.[2]
