The Stone Needle was a spindle of rock located in Beggar's Canyon on the desert planet Tatooine. Shortly before the Battle of Yavin, when Luke Skywalker successfully operated an X-wing flight simulator, he felt as he had the first time he threaded the Stone Needle in his T-16 skyhopper.[1]
