The Strikefast was a Venator-class Star Destroyer in service to the Galactic Empire's naval forces. It was the site of a meeting between the Chiss Mitth'raw'nuruodo, Imperial Captain Voss Parck, Colonel Mosh Barris, and Cadet Eli Vanto.

Service history

Sometime after the Clone Wars, while in pursuit of smugglers in an unknown planet in Wild Space, the Strikefast encountered what seemed like a small camp on the surface. Due to the UA Protocols, Captain Voss Parck dispatched a team down to investigate the small encampment lead by Colonel Mosh Barris, Major Wyan, and were joined by Cadet Eli Vanto due to his expertise on the language found written on supplies in the encampment, the Imperial team established a perimeter around the site, and would soon fall under attack by an unknown and strategic enemy.[1]

After losing a couple of men, two V-wing starfighters, and the uncertainty of who their attacker was, Colonel Barris decided to retreat, and transport the entire encampment back to the Strikefast. There, the crew of the Strikefast finally discovered the identity of their enemy, a single Chiss whose name was Mitth'raw'nuruodo, who thought it would be easier if he was simply called Thrawn.[1]

Due to Thrawn's immense knowledge in strategy and tactics, Captain Parck decided that Emperor Palpatine could be interested in him, and requested an audience with the Emperor. The request was granted, and Parck instructed Cadet Vanto to teach Thrawn more Basic, as Thrawn had some inabilities with certain aspects of the language. Arriving on Coruscant, Captain Parck, Colonel Barris, Major Wyan, Cadet Vanto, Thrawn, and the troopers involved in the skirmish of Thrawn's encampment, arrived at the Imperial Palace, and met with Palpatine, who was very interested in Thrawn. The Emperor rewarded Parck, Barris, and Wyan for their actions in bringing Thrawn to him.[1]
